The best Wednesday morning of 2014 so far awaited Peter, newcomer Ray, Patrick, Terry, Derek and John. As Peter and Ray had joined us from the south it was decided to go north. The riders left Loughborough by Meadow Lane and headed towards East Leake before turning towards West Leake via Brickyard Lane, Sutton Bonnington and then to the village shop at Normanton on Soar for refreshment. The group arrived at the shop a few minutes after a cycle group of 3 out from the Nottingham area, so the shop was somewhat busier than normal. Hot drinks and cake were consumed outside in the very pleasant sunshine. Spring seemed to be on its way.

Ray who had not done much cycling recently was finding the hills a bit challenging, so Patrick (who needed to get back) returned via Fox Hill, whilst the rest of the group returned via Hathern.
