A sunny warm July day awaited Ray, Derek, Howard and John when they gathered at Outwoods Drive. It was decided that ti would be good to choose a place to set out for the coffee stop and so it was decided to head for the Monastery Tea Rooms. A wending their way through the University, avoiding all the families who had turned up for the graduation ceremony, the riders proceeded across Garendon Park, through Shepshed to join Tickow Lane, then Charley Road and onwards to the tea rooms. After refreshment the riders returned with the group splitting at the Charley Road/Nanpantan Road, with Ray and Howard turning left for Loughborough and John and Derek heading out past Beacon Hill to Woodhouse.
