John, Max (out for the first time with the group), Terry, Howard, Graham, Lynn and Eric had the pleasure of a ride on a crisp and sunny autumn day when all the autumn leaves are in full glory. Having diverted from the intended destination of the Grange Tea Rooms at Ulverstone the week before, it was decided to have another go. The riders processed out past Mucklin Wood, Woodhouse Eaves up Maplewell Road and then onto the severe hill test of Priory Road. By the summit some riders were finding it a bit much so it was agreed that we would avoid further steep hills and take a turn into Ulverscroft Lane and proceed to refreshment at the Jade Tea Room in Newton Linford. After a pleasant al fresco interlude taking sustenance the riders returned via Bradgate Park, Rothley Station and Quorn, arriving back in Loughborough just after noon.
