After the ice and snow of the week before that had resulted in a cancelled ride, Jeff, Howard, Lyn, Pat, Patrick, Brian, Tricia (a new rider), Clyde, Marcus, Terry, John and Derek were pleased to be gathering on a day with sunshire and temperatures above freezing. Spring may be on the way. Due to the recent inclement weather it was decided to stick to tarmac and the riders headed south along the old A6 before turning off in Mount Sorrel for Sileby and Cossington. The group then joined the cycle path down through the lakes from the old gravel workings towards the junction with the Wreake. Here they passed a similarly constituted group of cyclist going north. We were also joined for a time by Roger HIll who was heading for Cafe Ventoux at Tugby. The riders took refreshment at the Brook Cafe in Syston, where they were joined by Ray Clay. The riders returned in bright sunshine using the reverse route as clouds gathered to the west.
