Only Howard and John turned up on a sunny July morning. Both Ray and Patrick had picked up "leg injuries" and many others seem to have headed abroad. As they were feeling fit and the wind was in the north, John and Howard decided to take a route not usually used by the group going out of Loughborough towards Burton-on-the-Wolds but then turning towards Hoton. Thence it was onward through Wymeswold to Wysall and then on to the Bradmore Garden Centre on Pendock Land. After refreshments the riders returned via East Leake, making the mistake of taking Keyworth Lane and ending up doing a mile on the main road.
