A cool, bright and blustery day was in evidence when Derek, Howard, Gerry and John gathered at Outwoods Drive. The group decided they might take on an ambition ride and head out to the Viaduct Cafe at Twyford. Punching into the wind the riders proceeded to Barrow on Soar, then up onto the Saltway, turning off to pass through Seagrave and on to Thrussington. By this time the effects of the head wind were being felt so it was decided that a shorter ride would be appropriate and the riders turned right to follow the Soar Valley to Ratcliffe and then on to the tea stop, Goscote Nursery, Cossington. After refreshment, the riders returned via Sileby getting back to Loughborough just before noon.
