A bright and blustery day awaited Howard, Terry and John for the weekly ride. It was decided to head south into the wind braving the rather muddy track past Mucklin Wood to the church hall at Birstall, via Swithland and Rothley. At Birstall the group was joined by Ray, who is currently unable to ride due to knee problems, for the excellent value tea and cake (£1-40) offered at this tea stop. The group then rode through Watermead Park, passing Gerry's canal boat Lady B as they approached Cossington, before returning to Loughborough via Mountsorrel.
