A rather grey and murky day awaited Howard, John, Terry and Jerry when they decided to head to Newtown Linford. The riders left Loughborough past Mucklin Wood and climbed through Woodhouse Eaves via Maplewell and on to the Jade Tea Rooms in Newtown Linford for refreshment. The return journey was through Bradgate Park where deer were very evident, with one grazing very close to the entrance to the park. After traversing the park the riders returned over the Cropston Reservoir Dam via Rothley Station and Mountsorrel.
