The travellers had returned. The previous week John was the only rider to turn out as all the other regulars were elsewhere. This week Terry and Anne (back from the Lake District), Patrick (back from the Czech Republic) and Terry (back from Spain) joined Howard and John on a ride out through Mucklin Wood, where the bluebells were in full display, to Birstall via Swithland and Rothley. Refreshment was taken at the tea room run in Birstall Methodist Church Hall and the riders returned through Watemead Park and Cossington arriving in Loughborough just after noon.
