A pleasant day for the end of November awaited Patrick, Terry, Derek & John. As there had been much rain it was decided to avoid off-road routes, such as that over Garendon Park, and the riders set out for the Monastery Tea Rooms via the University and Shepshed using Charnwood and Amson Roads to avoid dropping into the town centre. After a good repast in the tea room the riders returned via Beacon Hill, leaving Derek in Woodhouse Eves (where he lives) and Quorn.
