Despite a blustery and chilly day 8 riders turned out (Jim, Clyde, Patrick, Derek, Howard, Terry, Kevin and John). As the forecast was for conditions to improve as the morning wore on, it was decided to head for an early refreshment stop at Rothley Station and the group took the direct route down the old A6 through Quorn. After hot drinks and some food the warmed up riders took a more indirect route back via Cropston reservoir dam, Swithland, Woodhouse and Quorn.
