The forecast for a perfect spring day proved to be correct with the temperature rapidly rising after a frost, tempting 3 of the 4 riders to sport shorts.Ray led as usual, with regulars Chris and John joined by a new rider, Pennie.
It was agreed to ride to Stonehurst farm via Swithland Reservoir Dam. It was a beautiful ride with many of the spring blossoms and early greenery in evidence. Early bluebells were spotted as the riders passed through Mucklin Wood. After the usual intake of tea and other repasts at Stonehurst Farm, the riders returned to Loughborough just before noon.
