Derek, Terry, Ray & Patrick climbing towards Shepshed

A mild but grey and drizzly day made Ray, Derek, Terry, Patrick and John decide to stay on tarmac. It has been reported that the Black Swan in Shepshed was now doing teas and coffees and so it was decided to "test it out". Unfortunately on arrival it became apparent that the establishment was closed. The riders then decided to head to refreshments in the centre of Shepshed and enjoyed an excellent repast at Kim's Cafe.

Ray wanted to get back promptly as he had arranged to go to the cinema in the afternoon, so he and Patrick took a direct route back to Loughborough. Derek, Terry and John decided to get in a bit more exercise, heading up into Charnwood Forest and following Charley Road up to the Beacon, followed by a fast decent down to Woodhouse, making it back to Loughborough by noon.
