The day turned out to be wetter than the forecast had made out but Howard, Ian, John, Terry, Pat, Derek, Marcus and Patrick had a pleasant but damp ride out through Hathern, Long Whatton, Kegworth and Kingston before arriving for welcome refreshments at the village shop in Normanton on Soar. The lady volunteer on duty suddenly found herself rather busier than expected on a rainy Wednesday morning. Ian left the riders to return direct to Belton and after ascending and descending Fox Hill Pat left the group at Stanton. The remaining riders returned to Loughborough via Meadow Lane.
