Derek, Jerry, Patrick and Ray set off from Outwoods Drive on a pleasant sunny morning. It was decided to give the Beaumanor track a miss due to the recent wet weather. So it was a trip along the Leicester Road through Quorn and Mountsorrel to Daisy's tearoom near Rothley. Tea and coffee were enjoyed with Derek indulging himself with a large helping of meringue. After a leisurely break it was a return to Loughborough via Rothley (where further new teashops were spotted), Swithland, Woodhouse and Quorn. A very nice morning ride.
