An overcast morning with a bitter wind from the east greeted John, Ray, Stuart and Chris when they gathered at Outwoods Drive Roundabout. It was decided to keep the ride short and to cut through the town centre (Market Square being open to cyclists up until 10am) and on to the village shop at Normanton on Soar. After a chilly ride it was good to be made welcome at the village shop for a warm up and refreshments. As Ray needed to get back home a bit earlier than usual, Chris decided to extend his ride to Prestwold while John and Ray rode with Stuart to the cross roads at the A6006 where he left them to head north for Kegworth while they proceeded back to Loughborough via Hathern.
