John, Howard, Kas, Kevin, Howard and Patrick found themselves gathering on a cold and overcast, but calm, day. It was decided to head out into the Wolds via Meadow Lane. Turning right in Stanford on Soar, the group proceeded through Cotes to Walton on the Wolds, Seagrave and then dropped down into the Soar valley at Sileby. The original intention had been to take refreshment at the Green Place, but it turned out they are shut until April. However it was only 100 yards to Cafe Nineteen where some excellent fare was obtained and the riders were joined by Ray Clay, whose knee problem has shown some signs of improvement. While the riders enjoyed their repast the sky began to clear and much of the ride back to Loughborough via Quorn enjoyed some welcome winter sunshine.
