Ray, Patrick and John set out on a cold grey morning and proceeded, via the now much drier track past Mucklow Wook, to Ellis's Tea Room at Rothley Station with the sky's gradually clearing as they rode south. After partaking or refreshments in the welcome warmth of the tea room the riders returned home in bright sunlight and rising temperatures via Quorn.
