The workout: 1-3 x (mile, 800m) with 75s rest after the mile and 90s rest after the 800m. The miles should be at lactate threshold to 10K race pace, and the 800s should be at 10K to 5K race pace, followed by 4 x 400m with 60s rest at or a little faster than 5K pace. This workout targets aerobic development in the early section and works on speed in the second section.
Tuesday Night Track Club - meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. We are currently meeting at the MSU outdoor track in November through mid-April. We will plan to return to Gallatin Regional Park April 14. The following week's workouts will typically be posted on Sunday. Tuesday Night Track is free and always open to anyone interested in participating, and participation can come in the form of an easy run in lieu of the workout.
