The workout: 1-3 sets of 2K, 800m with 90 sec rest after each 2K, and 2min rest between sets. The 2K is to be completed at tempo (anaerobic threshold) pace, and the 800m to be completed at 5k race pace. This workout builds aerobic base and helps prepare the mind and body for pace changes during races.
Tuesday Night Track Club - meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. We will meet at the MSU track for the winter season (bring a headlamp!) - if the track is too snowy, we meet and run the workout in the Brick Breedin parking lot (meet near the Kagy entrance). The following week's workouts will typically be posted on Sunday. Tuesday Night Track is free and always open to any adult interested in participating (all levels are welcome!).
