The Workout: 8-12 x 800m starting at tempo to 10K pace and with 30-45 seconds rest between each and progressing the pace as desired down to a little faster than 5k pace (with up to 90 seconds rest) for as many reps as desired (could be 0 reps at this pace or could be 10 reps - up to each runner). This workout targets building/maintaining aerobic base, building aerobic power, and practicing good rhythm.
Tuesday Night Track Club - meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. We are currently meeting at the MSU outdoor track in November and December (and hope to move to the indoor facility in January - stay tuned for more details). If it is too snowy, we will complete the workout in the new football parking lot/sidewalk area. The following week's workouts will typically be posted on Sunday. Tuesday Night Track is free and always open to anyone interested in participating, and participation can come in the form of an easy run in lieu of the workout.
