The Workout: 1-3 sets of 2K (90 sec rest), 1K (60 sec rest), 400m (60 sec rest). The 2K intervals should be completed at tempo pace, the 1K intervals a bit faster, between 10K and 5K race pace, and the 400s at 5K race pace. This workout focuses on improving the aerobic base.
Tuesday Night Track Club - meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. We are currently meeting at Lindley Park (right in front of the graveyard) and running the workouts on the nearby trails, but we will switch to the track in November. The following week's workouts will typically be posted on Sunday. Tuesday Night Track is free and always open to any adult interested in participating, and participation can come in the form of an easy run in lieu of the workout.
