The Workout: 1-2 x 1600 at tempo pace, 2 x 800m at 5K race pace, 400m a little faster than 5K race pace, 1-2 x 800m at 5K race pace, 2 x mile at tempo pace. The rest after the miles is 1 minute, after the 800s is 90 seconds, and after the 400 is 1 minute. This workout focuses on aerobic pacework and mental toughness.
Tuesday Night Track Club - meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. As the track is now full of snow, we will meet and run the workout in the Brick Breedin parking lot (meet near the Kagy entrance) until (probably) March when the track is clear again. The following week's workouts will typically be posted on Sunday. Tuesday Night Track is free and always open to any adult interested in participating (all levels are welcome!).
