The workout: 1-3 x 1600m at tempo/aerobic threshold pace with 90 sec rest, 1-3 x 1000m at 10K to 5K race pace with 2 minutes rest, 1-3 x 800m at 5K race pace with 90 sec rest, 1-3 x 400m a little faster than 5K race pace with 60 sec rest. This workout targets practicing maintaining a rhythm at multiple paces, a little bit of aerobic development, and speed endurance development.
Tuesday Night Track Club - meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. We are currently meeting at the MSU outdoor track throughout the winter season. Depending on the snow conditions each week, we will run the workout on the track or parking lot. The following week's workouts will typically be posted on Sunday. Tuesday Night Track is free and always open to any adult interested in participating, and participation can come in the form of an easy run in lieu of the workout.
