What kind of house did you live in when you were a child? Please describe in detail how it looks and the environment around it, just like I can see it.
I grew up in a big city in northern China, when my family lived in a red brick apartment building. The apartment building has five floors and my family lives on the first floor, so we have a small yard. My father installed a small swing in the yard. In the summer, my mother will plant some flowers and a few tomatoes in the yard. My family has three bedrooms with windows facing south or north. From the south-facing window you can see another apartment building, and from the north window you can see the small park in our community.
Please tell me about the nervous/terrible moments that you/you friends/your family have experienced.
When I was traveling in Taiwan, I used to visit the Meiyuan of Tsinghua University. At that time, it was the summer vacation. Meiyuan was the only one in the morning. When I saw the famous Meiting, I naturally wanted to take pictures. But I found that the marble tables and chairs of Meitingli were occupied by two dogs. The dog probably also thinks that Meiting is a good place to take a break from the summer. The problem is that the dog owner has no trace. When the two dogs saw me lifting the camera in the direction of them, they stood up with vigilance and groaned. I hesitated, or clicked the shooting button. But I forgot to set the camera to mute, just listen to the bang, the two dogs just like to hear the order, straight to me. I am very nervous, because the two dogs are in awesome, and I am thin and have no protection. If I bite the dog, it is not terrible! When I was in the midst of a thousand years, I thought about the countermeasures of the dog trainer I had seen in the book. So I stayed where I was, my body was slightly sideways, my body was relaxed, and I thought, "I am their master, they have to listen to me." And then reprimanded them as calmly as possible: "Where did your master go?" At this time two dogs had already rushed to me. My voice just fell, they actually stopped at the local area, and snorted a few more to me, then turned back and ran back to Meiting. I secretly breathed a sigh of relief. I did not expect that the method I learned from the book really worked, and it was finally shocking.
People nowadays like to travel. In addition to travel for practical purposes, travel itself has become a fashion. Why do you think people travel? What does travel mean for people's lives?
The ancients said that they read thousands of books and traveled thousands of miles. That is to say, travel is as important as reading. Travel is a kind of learning. It makes up for the insufficiency of books and knowledge by understanding and imagination, and allows us to enter strange regions and environments and understand different cultures and life. Travel is an experience, but also a self-discovery and self-growth. When we walked out of the house, we looked at the beauty of the heavens and the earth, and the vastness of the mountains and rivers, seeing the world, reading the various people, etc. We also positioned ourselves while knowing the world. In the era of rapid development of science and technology, perhaps we have really done "the scholars do not go out, they know the world", virtual reality technology may one day allow us to experience the world in a realistic way without leaving home. However, I believe that travel is still an irreplaceable life experience. Its most important significance is to let us walk out of the comfort zone we are familiar with, truly defamiliarize our environment and achieve a new and lively experience. Only by walking on the road and letting our bodies cross the mountains, the streets and the alleys, we can harvest the pride of “looking into the sea and the sky”, and seeing the eyes of “seeing the living beings and seeing the heavens and the earth”, in order to taste and help each other. The warmth, the surprise of hitting a strange soul. In a nutshell, the true meaning of travel lies in - as Milan's famous words say - "live elsewhere."
