What kind of house did you live with when you were young? Please describe in detail what it looks like and the environment around it, just as I can see it.
I grew up in a big city in northern China when my family lived in a red brick apartment building. The apartment building has five floors and my family lives on the first floor so we have a small yard. My dad packed me a small swing in the yard. In the summer my mother would plant flowers and tomatoes in the yard. My home has three bedrooms and the windows are facing south or north. From the south-facing window, you can see another apartment building. From the north window, you can see the small park in our community.
Please tell me about a stressful/terrible moment experienced by you/your friends/your family.
When I was traveling in Taiwan, I visited Meihua Garden of Tsinghua University. It was the summer vacation at that time. Meiyuan was alone in the morning. When I saw the famous Meiting, I naturally wanted to take pictures. But I found that the marble chairs and tables in Meitingli were actually occupied by two dogs. Dogs may also think that Meiting is a good place to rest in summer. The problem is that dog owners have no trace. The two dogs saw me raise the camera in the direction of them, and stood up alertly and whispered. I hesitated a moment, or clicked on the capture button. However, I forgot to set the camera to mute, only to hear a bang, two dogs just like hearing orders, rushed toward me. I was very nervous, because the two dogs were aggressive, and I was lightly clothed. There was no protection. If I had to bite the evil dog, wouldn't it be terribly bad! At the very first moment, I thought of the dog trainer's countermeasures I had seen in the book before, so I stayed motionless, with my body flanking and my body relaxed. I was thinking "I am their master and they have to listen to me." , and then reprimanded them as calmly as possible: "Where did your master go?" At this time two dogs have rushed to me. As soon as my voice fell, they stopped at the local area and stunned me a few times before turning back to Mei Ting. I breathed a sigh of relief. I did not expect that the method I learned from the book really worked.
People nowadays like to travel. In addition to travel for practical purposes, travel itself has become a fashion. Why do you think people want to travel? What is the significance of travel to people's lives?
The ancients said, read thousands of books and walk thousands of miles. That means travel is as important as reading. Travel is a kind of learning. It makes up for the lack of understanding and imagination for book knowledge. It makes us enter unfamiliar regions and environments and understand different cultures and life. Travel is an experience, but also a kind of self-discovery and self-development. When we walked out of our homes, we watched the beauty of heaven and earth, and the vastness of mountains and rivers. When we see the world, we look at various people. We also know ourselves and the world. In the era of rapid development of science and technology, perhaps we really have done "the scholar does not go out, you know things in the world," and virtual reality technology may one day allow us to experience the world in real life, without leaving home. However, I believe that travel is still an irreplaceable life experience. Its most important significance is to allow us to step out of our familiar comfort zone, truly defamiliarize our environment, and achieve new and lively experiences. Only when we walk on the road and let our bodies pass through the mountains and rivers and the streets and lanes, we can reap the pride of “looking toward the blue sea and blazing the sky” and the vision of “seeing people and seeing the world” in order to taste and help each other. The warmth, surprises with strange souls. In a nutshell, the true meaning of travel lies in the words of Milan Kundera's famous sentence, “Live elsewhere”.
