We had as perfect a day as you can imagine for our Tuesday Group outing today.! Sunny blue skies splashed with wisps of clouds and temperatures in the 60s made for a lovely day. Eighteen Tuesday Groupers rendezvoused at Waller Mill Park for our early Fall paddle. Joining today were: Kevin, Steve L, Ed, Catherine, Dan, Sherri, Richard (and Dickens), Ellis, Marti, Bill, Bob M, Patricia, Helen, Mella, Kim, Rob, Sandy and me, Phyllis. We paddled the western part of the reservoir which I feel is the prettier section (and you get to go through the tunnel!). Bill suggested a counterclockwise route which we all agreed to. We followed the contours of the shore stopping frequently to admire the vibrant colors of the falling leaves-golds, reds, orange. We saw turtles and lots of birds-cormorants, kingfisher, osprey and bald eagle. Some stopped at the fossil bed to look for ancient shells. An occasional wind gust provided brilliant displays of frolicking leaves that danced and played in the breeze. We were treated to quite a show!We paddled for about 3 hours, covering 6 miles or so. Back at the park, we found a sunny spot on the dock to eat our lunches and share stories. We all agreed that we are very very lucky to be able to do the things we do. And we are so grateful for the Tuesday Group! Phyllis

From Bill: Thanks Phyllis for leading such a wonderful paddle in the Fall sunshine. The Weather was much better than last week!Besides the Autumn Colors we did see turtles, bald eagles, cormorants and a fish! But the most wonderful sight was looking at Sherri and Richard's lunch after the paddle! I was impressed. Bill in the Interior where I found some gas for 2.49 at Shell.
