We had a perfect day for our hike at York River State Park today. Sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 60s. Spring was only a few days old but it felt like Summer knocking at the door! We walked about 6 miles starting south along the river and continued west onto the Backbone Trail. From here we headed back towards the river on the Powhatan Forks Trail eventually circling back to the Backbone. Bruce found a blow down for us to clear-there's always some maintenance to do! We arrived back at the parking lot and then headed to our lunch destination at Honey Butters in Norge where we all feasted on lots of comfort food. We were too full for ice cream afterwards but all agreed it was another successful day for the Tuesday Group!
