Capital Trail Bike Ride 4/2/2013

Our first bike ride of the season! Fourteen of us braved some chilly temperatures to inaugurate the 2013 biking season: Sandy C, Steve, Mark and Jean B, Bruce and Margaret J, Ken, Ron and Sue, Vic and Margaret P, Mark C, Cathie and Phyllis. We rendezvoused at Jamestown Settlement on a bright sunny morning and began our ride with a spin around Jamestown Island. From there we headed on to the Capital Trail and pedaled to our lunch spot at the Williamsburg Community Chapel. After lunch we braved a healthy headwind on our way to Chickahominy Riverfront Park. Some rode up onto the bridge while others found a sunny spot by the river to chat and relax. After a long break, we biked with the wind behind us back to our starting point. In true Tuesday Group fashion a few of us went into the Cafe for ice cream before heading home. Another great day for the Tuesday group!
