Capital Trail Bike Ride 10-5-2021

A lovely Fall day gave 19 Tuesday Group bikers the perfect setting for our first Capital Trail Bike ride in a long time. We started at Jamestown Settlement Visitor Center and kept going straight over the Chickahominy River bridge to Milepost 10. Returning back over the bridge, we stopped at the Chickahominy River Park for a break. Two folks rode to Milepost 15 then returned to join us (they wanted a few more miles). We all rode back to our vehicles at JSVC and then broke into two groups. Most folks joined me for a circuit ride of Jamestown Island then returned to JSVC for a picnic lunch. The remaining folks wanted to eat then. Two of this group then pedaled the Island, passing us as we were headed back out. The rest of that group headed on home. For those who rode the entire trip with me, it was ~29 miles. Great friends, good times…..love having the comaraderie of the Tuesday Group! Thank you to all who joined me on this pleasant day. Marti
