HARBOR CRUISE and LUNCH
Submitted by: Steve Babor
On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, 15 folks met up at the Newtown Rd. Tide station for a ride to downtown so we could board the Victory Rover for a 2-hour harbor cruise. The
skies were overcast and mother nature was threatening to get us wet. Well, she did a poor job again and we stayed dry. The temperature was a comfortable 80 or so degrees
with a nice breeze. This outing was a special one for me as 8 of my family members were in attendance including my brother and his wife from Los Angeles. They thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the Tuesday Group. After the cruise we went to the Blue Moon in Waterside so everyone could get a good dose of food. We had good service, GREAT fellowship and they were ready for us on time. The food was delicious. Thanks to Bill Billings for his great pictures too. See you all on the next one.

Steve's Norfolk Naval Base Cruise was so popular we had people from as far away as Los Angeles join us! As a special treat on our cruise, Steve arranged to have the replica of the 1607 Godspeed sail out from Jamestown to greet us. Our cruise captain had not seen the Godspeed undersail in all the twenty years he has been guiding the Naval Base Cruises! Thanks Steve!
We had free parking at the Tide light rail station. The Tide took us to MackArthur Square and we walked to Nauticus and the Naval Cruise ship. The forecast rain did not arrive and we had a great cruise.
We had a feast at the Blue Moon Grill and Tap House where I was able to capture the Giant Pretzel before it was devoured!
I was delighted when Steve let us make a side trip to the Hilton to see the amazing Tree of Life sculpture from Africa.
So Steve's was successful in combining a Tuesday Adventure and a Babor Family reunion.
