Our First Landing bike ride started out and ended wet. However, we had twelve serious folks in the TG who didn’t let a little rain stop them. On this trip rather that ride through First Landing State Park we opted to ride on the Shore Drive bike Lane. This avoided much of the muddy conditions in the Park. Once we got to the Boardwalk we saw a school porpoises. It is always fun to watch them. When we got to Rudee Inlet we took a break to watch the surfers and paddle boarders. Moving on we went across the bridge on General Booth Boulevard stopping at the Owls Creek Boat Ramp where we saw some of the special warfare boat teams putting in their stealth boats. We believe the boats are used to deliver the Seals but, who knows for sure. Riding another hundred yards we stopped to view the real seals at the Aquarium. Another short hop took us to the Owls Creek Tennis Center where we ate our lunches. After lunch some departed on Bridneck Road believing it would get them back to their cars quicker. However, the bulk of the group retraced our route along the Boardwalk and along Shore Drive. Once we got back to the Food Lion parking lot we headed straight away to Tini’s for our ice cream treats. Yes, even in the rain the TG always has a good time.
