Trip Summary: Thirteen paddlers had a beautiful Fall day for an 8.5 mile paddle on West Neck Creek, North Landing River and Pocaty River. We saw multiple bald eagles and changing scenery as we went from marsh to open water to cozy hardwood swamp. We were treated to a yacht parade on the North Landing River as the south bound snowbirds were making their wat to Florida for the winter in their sailboats and cabin cruisers. We also experienced the fact that big boats moving fast make big wakes. We finished the day with a scenic picnic lunch on the marina’s waterside deck.
