We put in at Pungo Ferry Landing Park and Steve guided 16 of us on a pleasant quiet paddle through some tributaries of the North Landing River. On the main river we encountered only two snowbirds motoring south for the winter and their wake was easily manageable for us. The beautiful blue sky and white clouds added to the tranquil ambience. We had a very pleasant picnic on the grass in the park. Afterwards some of us went to the Blackwater Trading Post for ice cream and to see the rattlesnake rattles. Thanks Steve!
