Just to confirm that spring has come early to Hampton Roads this year the Norfolk Botanical Gardens showed off it’s colors for our walk today! The daffodils 🌼 and camellias were in full bloom and the azaleas were budding out and giving us a sneak peak at the splendor to come in a the weeks ahead.
It’s no surprise that Tuesday Groupers are kids at heart so the LEGO creations were a marvel to everyone ! Still not sure which one was my favorite but they were all an added perk to the already beautiful surroundings.
We had a large “gaggle of groupers” today with 33 folks to keep (literally) on the right path as we meandered through the gardens from the Enchanted Forest to Mirror Lake. Our distance was cut a bit short since the tree trimmers were at work causing several paths to be closed off but there didn’t seem to be any complaints. We didn’t do too bad with such a large group and only lost one walker. Lesson learned for everyone, always tell someone you are going to take a pit stop or you can find yourself alone on the path!
Lunch followed for 18 of us at Franco’s! They were awesome and the food was terrific- clean plates all around the table! Super day for early March with temps near 70. Thank goodness for Tuesday’s!
