Epic Blackwater Paddle 11/16/21

Bill Billings never goes small he always goes large. On this day he led ten paddlers on a 13.5 mile Epic paddle through history on the Blackwater River from Franklin. He showed us where the Confederates sank a boat to prevent Union forces from attacking a bridge, sunken barges related to tugboats hauling logs up the Blackwater to the paper mill and more. The river is lined with gorgeous Cypress Trees that will take your breath away with their beauty.

After the paddle most of us met a Serves, a restaurant for a great meal with friends. Yes, it was a long day but worth ever minute.
