We had a great ride today (~25miles) starting at the Food Lion near Great Neck Road. We started with about 23 riders down the bike path into the park. We soon split though with some of the group riding down the Cape Henry Trail and the rest taking the bike lane on Shore Drive. We all met up at 64th Street and pedaled through the ocean front neighborhoods down to the Boardwalk. We cruised the 40 blocks down the Boardwalk-stopping to pay homage to King Neptune-to Rudee Inlet. After a short break there we pedaled over the Rudee Inlet Bridge, made a short stop at the Aquarium to see the seals and then on to the Owl Creek Tennis Courts for our lunch. After lunch we retraced our steps eventually ending up at Tini's for a cool treat which was much appreciated after this very hot and humid day! We met some new friends on this trip and welcomed some that we hadn't seen in awhile. The best part was meeting Ellis on the way back and having him join us at Tini's! Another great day for the Tuesday Group!
