First Landing State Park 3-11-14

In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.

John Muir

On this warm sunny day twenty-nine ventured down six miles of trails into First Landing State Park. Our route took us down Long Creek and Osprey Trails. We were rewarded with friendly conversation and stunning views of Long Creek and Broad Bay. No eagles were seen; however, Bufflehead ducks watched us as we walked past. One by one they would dive from sight into the tannic waters only to reappear some distance from where they started. On nearly every tree the Spanish Moss was hanging like a massive web. In the daylight it was quite a picture. We reversed our direction back to our cars. After our walk we went to CP Shuckers for lunch. Life is good for the Tuesday Group!
