First Landing State Park Hike 1-30-18
22 loyal, hardy hikers arrived at the Trail Center in First Landing State Park to join me on a cold, dreary day that threatened rain and / or snow. We hiked various trails, enjoying the wintry scene as the snow began to fall. Fortunately, it remained snow and we avoided getting soaked. The views of White Lake and Broad Bay were "clouded" by the snowfall but provided different sights for us all. We hiked about 5 miles then split the group. I led several folks on back to the Trail Center while Ellis led the majority of the group through an extra trail section to get about 6 miles. We regrouped and headed to C P Shuckers for lunch and good conversation. Thank you to everyone who came out and proved we love to be outdoors no matter the weather. Yeah for the Tuesday Group!!
