On 15 May 2018, 20 members of the Tuesday Group gathered in Surry County’s Government Center for their annual—well we do it every year now—Strawberry Ride. It is a fun 26 mile ride through relatively flat but interesting terrain. It passes through a bit of history—Bacon’s Castle is mid-way, followed shortly by Chippokes Plantation. More importantly we then stop at College Run Farms for their “made on the farm” ice cream. The weather could not have been better—a bit cloudy to shade us, with only minor wind until the last three miles. Most then went to lunch at Anna’s and we took a few hours for service and billing. But we had fun with good company, and that is why we do these activities!
