We had as perfect a paddle as one could ever imagine this fine day. Sunny, temperatures in the upper 70s, a soft gentle breeze enough to cool but not enough to stir the water, perfect tide conditions and water so still you were reluctant to dip your paddle in and disturb the mirrored surface. 16 Tuesday groupers rendezvoused at the Old Point Comfort Marina to paddle Mill Creek this day: Brian, Cheryl, Jack, Tom, Buck, Gwyn, Jim, Chris, Sandy, Jack, Bill,Mark, Faye, Bruce, Margaret and Phyllis. We launched from the Marina beach or ramp and paddled up past the boats in the marina--some took a loop around/under the HRBT. We circumnavigated Mill Creek looking at the pretty houses, exploring small creeks and watching for birds. We paddled under several piers trying to see how low we could go! Circling the creek we investigated the fairly new floating dock which we plan to use sometime soon. After returning to the marina we went to the DeadRise for lunch. It took awhile to get our food but it was all good. Another great day for the Tuesday Group!
