No-one was more dedicated
G C
than King Hezekiah G > C
He spent his life in building up
the people and the temple.

H-E-Z-E-K-I-A—(H)
Drew his kingdom back to God,
he made it all quite simple.
This King obeyed all of God’s laws,
in fact no king did better.

No-one was more faithful,
he obeyed it to the letter!
One day when he was very ill,
the prophet said “You’re dying!”
Hezekiah cried “Alack!
please may I have my life back?”
So the Lord made him a pact, FIF-
TEEN more years he gave him.
Isaiah was that prophet then,
and this is what he told him,
“To show it’s true God gives this sign,
the sun will now go back in time!
See its shadow as it shines
ten steps down the stairway.”
