The Wise Old Woman

VISUAL AID: Inside this pack at the Resources Centre, you will find a wise old woman mask, a lion head, a box of ‘ointment’, and a lovely assembly book for younger children called, ‘Real Education And Life’ by Sandra Palmer and Elizabeth Breuilly. It contains other stories you may like to use.

From it I’ve copied two lovely stories which can be told in a teacher’s own words or read out, but which can be acted at the same time by a few children.

The lion and the wise woman wig are used in the ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ story; the ointment jar and the wise woman’s wig are used in the second story called ‘A Change of Heart.’
