37 Unto us a Child is Born
Taken from the Old Testament which recalls the prophetic words of Isaiah;
It's called 'Unto us a Child is Born'and the song is set to the traditional tune "Yankee Doodle".
Isaiah reveals that one day an important child would be born who would be addressed as Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.
He would be one who would rule forever.

38 Isaiah 53
Taken from the Old Testamentand which recalls the prophetic words of Isaiah;
It is simply called 'Isaiah 53' is set to the traditional tune "Cry Baby Bunting".
This song speaks of a Messiah King who would one day come, not as a mighty warrior, but as a servant, hated and rejected.
For our sins he would be wounded, tortured and given up to die.
He would receive the punishment we all deserve,because of our sinfulness, and he would bring us back to God.
Isaiah 53
39 Isaiah 55
Taken from the Old Testamentand which recalls the prophetic words of Isaiah;
It is simply called 'Isaiah 55'and the song is set to the traditional tune "Pick a Bale of Cotton".
This song is about the manner in which God's word refreshes and replenishes us,
in the same way that the rain and snow fall to the earth and bring nourishment to the soil.
There is a guarantee here, that when God's word goes out, it will not return to him empty, without accomplishing all that it was meant to do.

40 Jeremiah in the Potter's House
Taken from the Old Testament story of Jeremiah the prophet;
It's called'Jeremiah in the Potter's House'and the song is set to the traditional tune "Polly Wolly Doodle".
Jeremiah, known as 'the weeping prophet', was called to the difficult task of warning the people of God's coming judgement.
This was a message they were not prepared to listen to.
Here in this song, God speaks to Jeremiah as he watches a potter at work.
He comes to see that the people of Israel will be like clay in God's hands as he shapes and remodels them.

41 God speaks through Ezekiel
Taken from an Old Testament prophecy of Ezekiel ;
It is called 'God Speaks through Ezekiel'and the song is set to the traditional tune "The Hokey Kokey".
Ezekiel was a prophet who resorted to shock tactics to shake the people out of their apathy, but in this song we hear words of promise and hope.
God has plans to restore his people. He will give them hearts of flesh instead of hearts of stone.
He will cleanse them and put a new spirit in them and bless them once more.
Ezekiel 36.24-28
42 The Valley of Dry Bones
Taken from an Old Testament prophecy of Ezekiel.
It is called 'The Valley of Dry Bones'and the song is set to the traditional tune "I've Been Working on the Railroad".
This song tells of Ezekiel's vision in a valley filled with bones.
He watches as the bones of slain warriors come to life again, and become a vast army.
Here again is an encouraging word to God's people, a sign that they too will come back to life again.
Ezekiel 37.1-14
43 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego
Taken from the Old Testament story of three men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego;
The song is set to the traditional tune "The Big Ship Sails".
It tells of the faithfulness of three godly Jewish men who simply refuse to obey an order to bow down to a massive idol made of gold at the time of King Nebuchadnezzar.
Daniel 3
44 Mene, Mene,Tekel Parsin
Taken from the Old Testament story King Belshazzar's feast;
It's called 'Mene Mene Tekel Parsin which are words of judgement written on the palace wall by a ghostly hand, and addressed to the king who has offended God.
The scary words are translated by Daniel, and lo and behold, the king dies that same night.
The song is set to the traditional tune "Incy Wincy Spider".
Daniel 5
45 Daniel was a Man of Prayer
Taken from the Old Testament story of Daniel;
It's called 'Daniel was a Man of Prayer' and the song is set to the traditional tune " London Bridge is Falling Down".
This song is about Daniel's dedication to prayer and his faithfulness to God.
Darius, king at that time, has been tricked into declaring all prayer illegal, by officials jealous of Daniel; yet Daniel persists, and is thrown into a den of lions.
God protects him, and the king is well impressed with Daniel's God.
Daniel 6
46 Song of Amos
Taken from the prophetic words of an Old Testament character called Amos;
It's called'Song of Amos'and the song is set to my own music.
It tells of the kind of worship that God really desires;
not empty, vacant, shallow, repetitious or hypocritical, but true worship that is lived out in justice and right living, and which flows like a clear river.
God is concerned about the heart of humankind, not attendance figures.
47 Go Jonah
Taken from the Old Testament story of Jonah;
It is called 'Go Jonah'and the song is set to the traditional tune "Six Little Ducks".
Jonah is sent by God to the most powerful nation of that time, Nineveh, to tell them of God's displeasure with them.
Naturally he runs off like a coward in the opposite direction. The song shows that we can never run from God, he is everywhere.
Jonah relents, having spent some time in the belly of a big fish, and eventually carries out the task God asked him to do.
The Assyrians immediately repent, which annoys Jonah, who thinks foreigners ought to be punished.
Jonah Chapters 1-4
48 Bethlehem in the Land of Judah
Taken from an Old Testament prophecy by Micah, who foretells the birthplace of the coming Messiah;
the one the Jewish people are so desperately waiting for; and that place will be the least important and most insignificant town around ~ Bethlehem.
The song is called 'Bethlehem in the Land of Judah'and the song is set to the traditional tune "Oh How Lovely is the Evening".
