Therefore everyone who listens

to these words of mine

and acts on them is like a wise man,

who built his house on a rock.

That's when the rains came,

and the floods rose, and the gales blew and blew.

And hurled themselves against that house,

but it did not fall.

But if anyone who listens,

to these words of mine,

and pays no heed is like a foolish man,

who built his house on the sand.
