Ive heard and experienced "a difficult lake to fish". It is the combination of deep clear water that makes it difficult for some anglers. Luckily Capt. Rich has it figured out. He's honed his skills and knows how and where to find the big stripers (striped hybrid bass) as well as spots (spotted bass). His methods aren't particularly unorthodox but are effective when they're biting.
February and March brings the stripers into our small cove and catching nice ones off the dock is common. Larger ones school near streams after rains. Without getting too specific, fishing with live shiners gives you the opportunity to catch most any fish in the lake. Stripers, Catfish, Bass all will hit a live minnow.
