One of those one dish wonder meals, so easy to make. Takes a little time. Lamb can also be substituted for the beef. Dont rush it or the meat will be tough.
4 lb beef tips or stew meat (lamb can also be used)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
2 soup cans of red wine
2 pkg. Lipton dry onion soup mix
2 large cartons whole mushrooms, washed and cut in half.
Spray a large deep casserole dish with non stick spray.
Season the beef (or lamb) tips lightly with salt and pepper
Place meat in dish and layer with mushroom soup, wine, dry onion soup and mushrooms.
Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours.
Serve over rice or egg noodles.
