A simple red sauce without meat for whatever you choose. Pasta, Pizza etc...
1/2 cup onion chopped
1 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp chopped dried basil
1 tbsp chopped dried parsley
1 chicken bullion cube crushed
1 small can tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp anchovy paste (or 1/2 of a whole anchovy)
1- 28oz can whole tomatoes-diced (I use a hand blender right in the can).
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil over med heat about 5 min. If using the whole anchovy, mash into a paste before adding. Add remaining ingredients over medium heat for about 10 min and reduce heat to a simmer. Let simmer until thick, stirring occasionally.
