Better than ULTIMATE Old Fashioned
It took a while to get here but this is the end result of many attempts at the "best" old fashioned drink. I have been buying the candied orange slices and cherries in bulk and storing in the fridge with the complex syrup.
This recipe makes four cocktails

4 ounces Wolcotts Reserve 120 proof
4 ounces Stirrings Old Fashion Mix
4 ounces water
3 teaspoon Complex Turbinado syrup (2:1, turbinado sugar:water)
6 dashes Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters
Candied Orange Slices (2 each glass)
Luxardo, Starlino or other premium Cherries (2 each glass)

Combine all ingredients in a mixing pitcher over ice and stir.
Strain into large chilled rocks glasses over ice cubes (optionally a single cube can be used but I prefer normal cubes)
