Ingredients
16 cups ripe figs - washed and stems removed
5 cups sugar
1 lemon
2 cups water
Preparation
Place figs, water, lemon and half the sugar in a large pot over medium heat. Cook at a low boil for about 1/2 hr stirring and mashing frequently. Add remaining sugar and continue cooking for about another hour until mix becomes thick.
Can as instructed on box of jars.
